Elon Musk Claims Advertisers Are Trying To ‘Blackmail’ Him, Says ‘Go F— Yourself’
Speaking at the DealBook Summit 2023 in New York on Wednesday, Elon Musk, who now owns the social media platform X, scoffed at all those advertisers who left the platform due to the antisemitic posts that Musk amplified there.
?If somebody?s gonna try to blackmail me with advertising? Blackmail me with money? Go f—yourself. Go. F—. Yourself. Is that clear?? Musk openly stated.
He also emphasized the fact that his fans would happily boycott those advertisers if needed. ?The whole world will know that those advertisers killed the company and we will document it in great detail,? Musk further threatened.
He also mentioned it to the interviewer Andrew Ross Sorkin: ?I have no problem being hated. Hate away.?
In the current weeks, Musk has promoted what the White House called ?antisemitic and racist hate? on X, the platform that was formerly known as Twitter, which is now owned and operated by Musk as the CTO.
He called out those tweets to be ?one of the most foolish if not the most foolish thing I?ve ever done on the platform.? ?I?m sorry for that tweet or post,? he added.
Those inflammatory posts by Musk on X have resulted in major advertisers like Google, Disney, and Microsoft pulling back their advertising campaigns and instigating some of the major users to quit the platform, including Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo.
Musk, who is also the CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, has denied the claims of him being antisemitic and stated on X that ?Clear calls for extreme violence are against our terms of service and will result in suspension.?
